PANAJI: Former Panaji MLA Siddharth Kuncoliencar made a major claim on Monday that some schools in Goa did not celebrate the 60th Goa Liberation Day.
Taking to the tweeter, Kuncoliencar demanded Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant’s intervention and strict action against teh erring schools.
“SHAME! Some aided schools affiliated to a certain institution in Goa did not celebrate our #GoaLiberationDay today. Request @GovtofGoa
@goacm @DrPramodPSawant Ttoinitiate enquiry to curb this anti-national behaviour. #Goa_Liberation #GoaAt60,” he said.
In another tweet, Kuncoliencar said that former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was busy flying pigeons and forgot about Goa’s Liberation.
“Nehru, in his quest for flying peace pigeons, kept #Goa_Liberation on hold for 14 long years with our freedom fighters like Mohan Ranade-ji languishing in jails in Portugal till 1969!!,” he said.
