Mapusa: A dedicated initiative to promote grassroots football and youth development will see children from the Aldona constituency benefit from a free intensive summer camp organised by PACT Foundation in collaboration with Kick Off Football Schools.
The nine-day camp is scheduled to take place from May 1 to May 10, 2026, at the Moira Club Ground. Daily sessions will be conducted between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM, offering structured football training for boys and girls aged between 6 and 14 years. The programme is designed to provide a professional and supportive environment where young participants can learn and grow through sport.
With a strong focus on skill development, discipline, and teamwork, the training sessions will be led by experienced and licensed coaches. Each session will run for approximately 60 to 90 minutes, ensuring that children receive both technical guidance and physical conditioning in a balanced format.
The initiative also aims to make sports more accessible by removing financial barriers. Participation in the camp is entirely free, and registered children will be provided with training kits, along with medals, certificates, and refreshments. Organisers have limited the number of participants to ensure quality coaching and individual attention, with registrations set to close on April 27, 2026.
The programme reflects a broader effort to encourage community engagement through sports while identifying and nurturing young talent at an early stage. By focusing on children within the Aldona constituency, the organisers hope to create meaningful opportunities for local youth to explore football in a structured setting.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to complete registrations at the earliest to secure a place for their children in the camp, which promises both learning and an enriching sporting experience.
