PANAJI: Goa Forward Party (GFP) today has exposed the land acquisition done by the BJP govt for double railway tracking.
GFP has also slammed CM Pramod Sawant for cheating the people of Goa.
“Today, we have exposed the land acquisition done by the BJP government for double railway tracking. We have in possession the notification by the government of India,” said GFP Environment Cell Convenor Vikas Bhagat
He further said that the double engine government has taken away the land of Goemkars overnight by way of notification.
“Former CM Manohar Parrikar had said that he would not hand over any land for double-tracking of railways, but CM Sawant has cheated people by giving land,” he said
Bhagat further claimed that CM Pramod Sawant wants to make Goa into a coal hub.
“BJP is promoting coal hub in Goa by acquiring our land; BJP government from Goa and at the centre have forcefully acquired the land for double-tracking,” he added.
Bhagat alleged that the said double-tracking is done just to transport coal from Goa to Karnataka.
“Why should people of Goa suffer when the benefit is only for the neighbouring state of Karnataka,” he added.
