DABOLIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated that he held discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other senior BJP leaders on various government and party-related issues. The Chief Minister made the announcement while speaking to media persons at Dabolim Airport upon his return to Goa from Delhi.
Sawant was accompanied by the newly appointed BJP State President, Damu Naik. Addressing the media, he said, “When the party and government are on the same page, everything functions smoothly.”
During his visit to Delhi, the Chief Minister met with several key leaders, including the Union Finance Minister, Environment Minister, Defence Minister, Health Minister, and BJP National President J P Nadda. He discussed matters related to Goa’s development, governance, tourism, demands before the 16th Finance Commission, and the overall political scenario in the State.
When questioned about a possible cabinet reshuffle, Sawant declined to comment, leaving speculation open.
The visit is seen as an effort to align party and government initiatives and to address pressing issues in Goa, particularly in the areas of development and tourism.
