DABOLIM: The Air Intelligence Unit of Goa Customs headed by Y. B. Sahare, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, apprehended an international passenger who had arrived from Sharjah to Goa by Air Arabia flight No. G9 492 and recovered 232 grams of gold bar valued at Rs. 10.03 Lakhs approximately.
Jafar Baladkam Abdulla, resident of Kasaragod, Kerala, who had arrived from Sharjah to Goa by Air Arabia flight No. G9 492 was apprehended. The team recovered 232 grams of gold bar valued at Rs. 10.03 Lakhs approximately.
he said gold bars were concealed in the check-in baggage of the passenger. The Gold has been seized under the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962.
This is the second seizure done by Air Intelligence Unit of Goa Customs within a fortnight. The total value of gold seized by Air Intelligence Unit of Goa Customs, in the calendar year 2021, till date is Rupees 1.81 crore approx.
