The official recognition under the Union Govt’s ‘Mission Zero Non-Descript’ which aims to protect and promote India’s native animal generic resources, shall ensure the preservation & protection of data, and resources of the breed for future generations.
Shweta Kapila is known for its resilience to Goa’s challenging climate conditions of high rainfall and hot-humid conditions & its adaptability.
Sawant said the recognition of the breed shall promote Natural Farming, especially by preparation of Jivamruth & Ghanjivamruth necessary for Natural Farming.
The adaptability helps small & marginal farmers to maintain them in moderate sheds and be employed in farming & allied activities.
