PANAJI: Minister for River Navigation Subhash Phal Dessai today informed that the state government is contemplating beginning Panaji-Vasco ferry services to reduce traffic congestion.
“The state government is contemplating beginning Panaji-Vasco ferry services in a bid to reduce traffic congestion,” said Phal Desai
He further said that the state government is also looking for innovative ideas to improve the bad conditions of some of the ferry boats.
The Minister also said that his department would also release the pending amount of DSSY schemes which have been pending for the last 3 months.
“We will carry out a survey to check whether some people are not getting benefits inspite being eligible for the Scheme,” he said
Phaldesai also said that his department, through the survey, would keep a check if non-eligible persons are taking benefit of the scheme.
