VERNA: GSIA and other industrial estate heads met Power Minister Sudin Dhavlikar and put forth suggestions related to power load. Kochkar said the government should support Industries for economic growth and employment generation for the people.
Goa State Industries Association president Damodar Kochkar told Goemkarponn that the meeting with the Power Minister is mainly about the Verna Industrial Estate.
“Recently Minister spoke on the restrictions to be put on all industrial estate regarding the power load, he said.
He further said that there was a circular that the shortage of 150 MW of power will have to be borne by the Industries, which means we will have to put off our Industries from 6 pm to 12 am.
Kochkar further informed that along with the Verna Industrial estate, Kundali industrial estate heads met Minister Sudin Dhavlikar at his residence and explained the industrial estates’ pain.
“After listening to our plea, Minister has assured to work out some solution to Industries are ready to support,” he stated.
Kochkar added that industries are very important in employment generation and economic growth. During the Covid19 pandemic, Industrial estates contributed to the society in big numbers, and therefore, we expect that the government should also support the interest of the industries.
