PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane conducted a detailed review meeting with the Heads of Departments of Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) in the presence of Dr. J.P. Tiwari, Dean, GMC, Yatindra Maralkar, Secretary (Health), and Pranab Bhat, Joint Secretary (Health).
During the meeting, the minister reviewed the progress of ongoing initiatives and key achievements across various departments, with a strong emphasis on further strengthening healthcare infrastructure and medical services in the state. Discussions focused on enhancing the efficiency of healthcare delivery while ensuring that quality medical care remains accessible and affordable for all citizens.
The meeting also deliberated on future-ready measures aimed at improving patient care, upgrading institutional capabilities and preparing the state’s premier medical institution to meet Goa’s evolving healthcare needs. The review forms part of the government’s continuing efforts to modernise healthcare services and reinforce GMC’s role as a leading public healthcare and teaching institution in the state.
