MARGAO: Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao on Wednesday assured people to repair all the roads, which have been dug for laying of underground cabling.
Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao was speaking after Inaugurating crossover culvert near Siddhivinayak temple at Payrabandh Cuncolim.
He said that this developmental work will facilitate local residents to cross the canal. Another demand of locals is fulfilled. It will provide a safe and convenient passage to cross the canal.
“I am happy that this work has come into reality. Such many developmental works, which are in pipeline will be inaugurated once they are completed. I hope this crossover culvert will the locals, who had demanded to take up this work,” Alemao said.
He said that to get rid of power problem during rainy season, which occur due to falling of trees on electricity wires, work of underground cabling has been taken up.
“I know the inconvenience taking place on roads due to digging. Till this work gets complete, I request you to understand our difficulties. Once the work is complete all the roads will be repaired,” Alemao said.
Alemao said that apart from underground cabling and other developmental projects, projects of the Urban Health Centre and Sports Auditorium at Mukim Cuncolim are proposed.
“We need a Health centre, which can give treatment to patients here itself. Currently people are forced to visit District Hospital or Goa Medical College. One this project is ready, even the health related issues will be resolved,” he said.
He said that it will be a 16-bedded Urban Health Center and most of the facilities will be provided to the public. “Even for injury we have to rush to District Hospital in Margao. Hence there was a need for the Urban Health Centre,” he added.
He said that the proposed Sports Auditorium will provide a platform for local youth to develop and showcase their talents.
“These initiatives will revolutionize healthcare and sports infrastructure, greatly benefiting the locals,” Alemao said.
