ANJUNA: Anjuna Police have registered a case against two named women and five unidentified persons for allegedly luring a 61-year-old Mumbai resident to Goa through a dating app, assaulting him and extorting cash and valuables worth lakhs of rupees.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred around 12.30 am on December 10, 2025, at Villa Vitamin-C in Baga, Arpora, Bardez. The complainant, a resident of Vile Parle (East), Mumbai, alleged that accused Chaitali Laxman Kshirsagar came in contact with him through the Tinder dating app and subsequently induced him to visit Goa by booking a villa at the said location.
The complainant alleged that while they were staying at the villa, Kshirsagar called another named accused, Kavya Sharma, along with an unidentified woman. They allegedly attempted to undress themselves and the complainant, following which two unidentified men and another woman entered the villa.
The group allegedly threatened to implicate the complainant in a POCSO case, assaulted him and forced him into obscene acts. They also allegedly took obscene photographs and videos of him and threatened to circulate the material to extort money and valuables.
According to the complaint, the accused allegedly extorted ₹50,000 in cash and ₹45,000 through online payment. They also allegedly forced the complainant to hand over a gold ring weighing approximately 20 grams, a gold chain weighing around 40 grams and a Rado watch valued at approximately ₹70,000.
After allegedly carrying out the extortion, the accused fled from the villa, leaving the complainant locked inside, the complaint stated.
Anjuna Police registered the offence on October 8, 2026, at 8.26 pm. Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of PSI Navneet Goltekar of Anjuna Police Station.
