PANAJI: Panaji Police have registered an offence against a Russian national, Elena Pletneva, for allegedly assaulting two policewomen while they were discharging their lawful duties at Panaji Police Station on October 7, 2026.
According to the complaint lodged by a 25-year-old policewoman, a lady police constable attached to Panaji Police Station, the incident occurred at around 7 pm on the station premises in Panaji, Tiswadi.
The accused allegedly used criminal force and assaulted the complainant and another lady police constable while they were performing their official duties, thereby allegedly deterring public servants from discharging their lawful responsibilities.
Panaji Police registered a case under Sections 132 and 115(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
LPSI Harshal Raikar of Panaji Police Station is investigating the case. A notice has been issued to the accused.
