BENAULIM: Former Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao today said that he is not sure whether he will join the BJP in future or not.
“I have supported CM Pramod Sawant as he is a common man and such people should run the state government in Goa. I don’t know whether I will join BJP or not in the future. I have not decided anything,” said Alemao.
Alemao stated that he has no interest in contesting the election but believes that the BJP will win both seats as they deserve it and will stay in power for the next 15 years.
“I have praised the BJP government for the major developmental works done under the leadership of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and former Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar,’ he added.
He further stated that people across Goa had urged him to contest the election, but he had no interest.
“Congress party has lost the plot, and the party will finish very soon. Congress is not in existence in Goa in any sense. It is because the BJP government in Goa is witnessing huge and major developmental works”, said Alemao.
Alemao praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and claimed that people in the country are witnessing peace under his leadership.
After Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, peace came into the nation. Earlier bomb blasts were taking place. Innocent people died in these blasts.
He said that though Congress won the South Goa Lok Sabha seat in 2019, no developmental work has been done by the current MP from the constituency.
