PONDA: Not waiting for official inauguration, Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavlikar today opened Dhavlim Flyover with three hundred meter road stretch. Sudin Dhavlikar said that he opened the flyover road as public and traffic was inconvenienced since past five years due to delay in completion of fly over work. The flyover work was undertaken in 2014 on Dhavlim-Farmagudi Highway.
He said when he was PWD Minister and late Manohar Parrikar was Defence Minister, several major development were planned which are still progressing. However, present government failed to bring new works as it is indulged in criticizing others.
Sudin Dhavlikar said he had proposed Rs 100 crore maintenance work on NH at Borim, Old Goa but government failed to conduct follow up on it with Central Government.
He also proposed several NH works including Bandora Junction Underpass , Widening of Farmagudi to Old Goa road, Borim Bridge etc but government failed to conduct follow up on this.
Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavlikar along with Kavlem Panchayat Sarpanch Rajesh Kavlekar, Bandora Sarpanch Rajesh Naik, Durbhat Adpoi Sarpanch Saroja Naik, ZP Ganpat Naik and locals inaugurated the underpass.
He said “Since last one year officials giving promise to open it however failed to honour promise“.
He asked the NH authorities to put concrete to side rallings, install sign boards, and speed breakers so that commuters on NH are not inconvenience.
