CANACONA: Stating patience is the only way to succeed in life, Sports and Arts & Culture Minister Govind Gawde said, it equally requires the will-poweer to bear insults.
Minister Govind Gawde was speaking as the chief guest at the Inaugurations of the Multi-purpose sports Ground, Smart Classroom, and a Hi-Tech Computer Lab at Shri Mallikarjuna Vidyalaya of Centru Promotor de Instrucao, a century old educational institute at Char-Rasta, Canacona.
Speaking further Gawde said, ‘Dreams should be seen daily and efforts should be made to fulfill those dreams. Mere dreaming is not sufficient. In order to fulfill the dream, we should focus on it with determination and commitment”.
Gawde was speaking after inaugurating the multi-purpose sports ground, smart class room, and hi-tech computer lab of Shri Mallikarjuna Vidyalaya of Centru Promotor de Instrusaum(CPI), Char Rasta Canacona.
Speaking further, Gawde went on to state that one should never forget the school where we studied especially the teachers who taught us and continued to praise the achievements of the school started by CPI during the portugues reign 102 years ago with a vision to make every one should get education.
Special Invitee Skilled Development Directorate’s Assistant Trainee Advisor Samrat Naik Gaonkar said that confidence is very important in education. When any rural students go to the city, the city students are forced to put in their extra efforts to remain forward with confidence thinking whether they will be able to stand up to rural students fearing they will perform better because they have come from the rural areas. Canacona taluka has a tradition of education and people educated in Canacona have held and are holding high positions in the past and today, respectively. Many of them have had their school education originally from CPI’s Shri Mallikarjuna Vidyalaya. Naik Gaunkar further asked the students not to make the mistake of going for the medium that your parents or relatives say, but heed to what you like.’
Naik Gaunkar said that the new building of Canacona ITI has been constructed at a cost of 9 crore rupees and this will benefit the many students of Canacona.
CMC Chairperson Sara Nasik Desai speaking on the occasion said that the progress of the organization Centru Promotor de Instrusão has been through mutual support and collective efforts. Naik Desai said that the progress of this school can be seen today only because of the cooperation given by everyone’.
Cpi president Shamba Naik Desai said the sports minister has already given a lot of cooperation while demanding that the sports department should cooperate in building an open sports ground and further requested cooperation in future.
On this occasion, the meritorious students were honoured at the hands of Sports minister Govind Gawde. Also, Sudan Naik Gaunkar, Sudesh Naik, Chandralekha Mestri, Ajit Desai, Nelveen Fernandes, who were promoted and received awards in the field of education, were felicitated with shawls, shrifal and mementos.
Also, Ashwin Mehta, Rohidas (Dad) Naik Desai, Ratnakar Naik Gaunkar, Shailendra Gaonkar, Anandu Gane, Bhagdu Desai, Rajendra Desai, Sumitra Anand Naik Gaonkar, Vanita Tamba and Shaila Rajya Adhyaksha were also honored with shawls, Shrifal and mementos.
Later Sudan Naik Gaonkar, Chandralekha Mestri expressed their thoughts on their felicitation for the awards they are honoured with.
Yojana Naik is falicitated at the hands of Minister Gawde as the best teacher of Shri Mallikarjun Vidyalaya.
