PANAJI: Director General of Police (DGP) Mukesh Kumar Meena today informed 45,753 people were fined last month for not wearing face mask of which the total fine collected was Rs 92 lakhs.
DGP also informed that strict action will be taken against violators during the curfew starting tomorrow 9 am
“As per data Rs 92 lakh fine was collected after fining 45,753 people across the state for not wearing face mask,” said DGP Meena
He further said Police to take strict action under Disaster Management Act and IPC Act against all those who are violating the curfew rules from tomorrow 9 am.
“I request all the people to follow all restrictions that have been put in force during the curfew to be imposed from tomorrow 9 am” he added
DGP also said that people spreading fake messages social media will be jailed for 1 year and action will be taken against unnecessary movement of people.
“Covid negative certificates to be checked at borders for tourists coming to state,” he said
