PORVORIM: Porvorim Rising will felicitate nearly 200 meritorious students from the Porvorim constituency during a special function scheduled at the newly constructed Porvorim Gymkhana on June 6.
Students who secured more than 75 per cent marks in the SSC and HSSC examinations this year will be honoured at the event, which is set to commence at 3.30 pm. Degree students from the constituency will also be recognised for their academic achievements.
The annual initiative, spearheaded by Goa Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan A. Khaunte, seeks to encourage scholastic excellence and inspire students to pursue higher educational goals. Over the years, the programme has gained popularity among students and parents alike for celebrating academic success and fostering healthy competition.
Khaunte will attend the function as the chief guest. Acclaimed voice artist, actor and motivational speaker Vijay Vikram Singh will be the keynote speaker and is expected to guide students on career planning, higher education opportunities and personality development.
Organisers said the event aims not only to reward academic excellence but also to motivate young achievers to continue striving for success in their chosen fields. They have urged eligible students and their parents to participate in large numbers and make the programme a memorable occasion.
