PANAJI: BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanavade reacting to the Baina Ram Navami incident, said that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
“I am again saying that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands. Law has its own course,” said Tanavade.
He further said that religious outfits had met him along with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to discuss the incident.
“Investigation has been directed into the incident, and necessary action will be taken,” he added.
Tanavade also said that strict action would be taken against all the culprits involved in the incident.
The tension broke out following clashes between groups belonging to communities in the Baina on Sunday evening.
The trouble started at around 8.30 pm when a two-wheeler procession by youths from Sancoale on Ram Navami reached Islampur-Baina.
