PANAJI: A detailed review of the Cardiology Department at Goa Medical College (GMC) was conducted today to assess key achievements, identify existing gaps and chart the way forward for strengthening cardiac care services in the state.
The review focused on enhancing cardiac care infrastructure, improving accessibility for patients, and upgrading facilities to ensure the availability of state-of-the-art treatment options for people across Goa.
Officials stated that improving the quality and timeliness of healthcare delivery remains the top priority, with emphasis on ensuring that every patient receives effective and prompt medical attention.
The exercise is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade specialist healthcare services at GMC and strengthen the overall public health system in the state.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said the initiative reflects the government’s continued focus on strengthening tertiary healthcare infrastructure and ensuring advanced cardiac care facilities are accessible to all citizens of Goa.
