Panaji: In a significant milestone for Rocky’s Karate, Rheanne Quadros, a member of the Goa-based martial arts academy, earned her ShoDan Black Belt at the 5th IASK National Karate Seminar & Belt Grading Examination in Noida this year.
The event, organised at the Noida Indoor Stadium, Delhi by the International Academy of Shotokan Karate, India, brought together karate enthusiasts from various states in India, as well as participants from the United States and Bangladesh.
Conducted by the esteemed SKIF World Chief Instructor, Shuseki Shihan Manabu Murakami, an 8th Dan Black Belt from Japan, alongside Sensei Ravindra Kumar, Chief Instructor from India, the seminar aimed at providing world-class training to foster the growth and skills of karate practitioners in India.
This gives Rocky’s Karate a huge boost to its mission of promoting martial arts among all age groups, and the confidence and inspiration to strive better and push the boundaries.
The goal of the event was to empower these athletes to excel on the international stage, bringing pride to their nation through exceptional performances, Quadros pointed out.
Sensei Roque Quadros, founder of Rocky’s Karate, expressed pride in Rheanne’s remarkable accomplishment of attaining her well-deserved 1st Dan Black Belt during the academy’s participation in the Black Belt Grading Examination at Noida. He attributed Rheanne’s success to her hard work and dedication, as well as to the team of experienced and devoted instructors. Sensei Roque Quadros emphasized that this achievement not only boosts Rocky’s Karate’s mission of promoting martial arts across all age groups but also instills confidence and inspiration within the community to continually strive for improvement and surpass limitations.
“The successful completion of the event and the commendable performances in the Black Belt Grading Examination mark a significant milestone in the journey of these dedicated karate students. The seminar not only reinforces the spirit of martial arts but also underscores the importance of such initiatives in enhancing the overall well-being and safety of individuals in today’s dynamic world,” he emphasised.
Rocky’s Karate, a boutique Dojo based at Kadamba Plateau, was launched in 2017 and is affiliated with the International Academy of Shotokan Karate, India (IASK) and a member of Shotokan Karate International Federation, Japan (SKIF), a global entity spanning over 130 countries.
Quadros said that all the black belt certificates at his academy come directly from Japan, underscoring the authenticity and prestige of our affiliation with the Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF).
“At Rocky’s Karate, students not only develop martial arts proficiency but also cultivate important life skills such as discipline, focus, and confidence. We believe that martial arts is a transformative journey that extends beyond physical techniques. Our mission goes beyond punches and kicks – it’s about instilling discipline, cultivating respect, and nurturing character,” Quadros said
