PONDA: The locals of Sacorda took out morcha at Collem Police Station demanding arrest of father and son in connection with a brutal attack on their neighbour with Koyta over compound wall issue.
Stating that five days had passed for the attack, the local also threatened to stage agitation if the accused were not arrested immediately.
After staging agitation twice at Collem Police Station, the locals today visited Ponda Police Station demanding arrest of the accused.
According to locals, there is a dispute between the accused and victims on the compound wall issue. Last Thursday, the accused father Vasu Kudsekar and his Son Ravi Kudsekar attacked their neighbour Vijaykant Girodkar (61) from Battar Sacorda.
After attacking the victim with koyta and injuring him, they are absconding.
The injured was shifted to GMC and now shifted to Pilem Dharbandora Hospital.
Collem PI Prajoth Fadte said all efforts are being to find out accused since the day of the incident.
Meanwhile, the Battar Sacorda Locals today met Ponda DySP for immediate arrest of the absconding accused. Locals said DySP promised to arrest the accused in two days. The Locals alleged that the accused were an influential person, and so Police failed to arrest them. The locals also threatened that if Police failed to arrest accused, then they would stage dharnas at Azad Maidan for their demand.
