CANACONA: Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar hold a meeting with PWD and Forest officers to discuss, plan and execute the Works of Widening of the accident embroiled NH-66 road from Gulem to Karmalghat.
Tawadkar called the meeting of PWD and forest officials to discuss, plan and execute the work of improvement of the narrow, sharp turn at KarmalGhat and the narrow and without setback road from Gulem to Karmalghat on NH-66 road.
Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane also attended the meeting. While Jr. Rane gave instructions to Forest officials to facilitate the early commencement of road works,
Tawadkar directed the officers from the forest and PWD to expedite the work at the earliest so that the works could be started before the onset of monsoons.
The other officers present were Saurabh Kumar CF (IFS), Chief Engineer Allan, EE Kamat, Additional Collector Naik and ACF Salelkar.
It may be recalled that only recently Union Ministry of Roads Transport and Highway has conveyed its technical, administrative and financial approvals for 4.90 Cr to widen accident -prone Sharp Curve at Karmalghat and widen of road from Karmalghat to Gulem.
