MANDREM: During a raid, Mandrem Police Station managed to capture one person. Mr. Shahid, 45, son of Alishan, of Sabitnagar, District-Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested for illegally possessing drugs, mainly Ganja, according to SDPO Mapusa, Jivba Dalvi.
The accused was found in possession of 600 grams of Ganja following the raid, which took place in the early hours of May 31, 2024, in Madhalawada, Arambol Pernem. He has been placed under arrest and a case has been filed against him under Section 20 (b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act 1985.
PSI Jugal Divkar, PSI Paresh Kale, PSI Pravin Shimepuruskar, PC Vijay Gaikwad, PC Mallesh Joodi, PC Rajesh Shirgaonkar, and PC Sarvesh Mandrekar were all members of the raiding team, which was led by PI Sherif Jaques.
Under the direction of SDPO Pernem, Jivba Dalvi, and SP North, Akshat Kaushal, IPS, more investigation into the matter is in progress.
