PANAJI: Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief on Sunday held a crucial meeting with members of the party’s Minority Cell and announced that the cell would be revamped within a week to strengthen representation and outreach among minority communities.
The meeting was attended by State Executive Member Kadar Shah and General Secretary (Organisation) Durgadas Kamat at the GFP office in Panaji.
During the interaction, Sardesai heard the grievances and concerns raised by community members, who highlighted several issues, including the demand for a Kabrastan. Matters related to social welfare and infrastructure were also discussed.
Addressing those present, Sardesai announced a major restructuring of the GFP Minority Cell, aimed at enhancing representation and ensuring that the concerns and aspirations of minority communities are effectively reflected within the party’s decision-making process.
The party said the initiative forms part of its broader efforts to strengthen its organisational structure at the grassroots level and expand engagement with diverse sections of society.
According to the GFP, the proposed revamp underscores the party’s commitment to building a progressive, inclusive and people-centric Goa while ensuring greater participation of minority communities in its organisational framework.
