TUEM: IT Minister Rohan Khaunte has emphasized the need to create infra per industry requirements.
Khaunte also said that the state government aims to bring in attracting Electrical vehicles and mobile phone manufacturing.
“With the Mopa International Aiport being in close proximity, it becomes very attractive for people to come to investing into Goa; we are looking forward to bring in certain reforms on how we can be friendly to investors. We will have to get one or two anchor units,” said Khaunte.
He further said that bigger industries can cater to and bring in a large volume of employment to Goans.
“We will have to bring in the things needed for the industries in this highly competitive market. Every state is competing today, and we have to be far and one step ahead. Our biggest challenge is to attract investors, we have to be right the policy way,” he added.
Khaunte said that he will be meeting the Union Minister on certain aspects and how he can help us grow.
“After we review today’s meeting, we will be meeting the Chief Minister on how we should be the way forward,” Khaunte said.
The minister said that he was out last time as minister and could not take this project further.
“When companies come, we will be looking first to skill up the youth. We will find a lot of things moving in the next two years,” IT Minister said.
