Over 2.94 lakh passenger flew through the Goa Airport at Dabolim in the Month of November 2020. “The airport has achieved phenomenal growth rate within the past six months,” informed Airport Authority of India (AAI) Goa. Covid Pandemic had disrupted the flight movements at the International Airport since March 2020. However, there has been steady increase in passenger footfall since the last 6 months. Passenger movement for past 6 months as per the stats released by AAI Goa are as follows :June – 14,778, July – 19,730 , Aug – 32,954, Sept -76,000, Oct – 1,68,242 and Nov 2,94,812 passengers.

Calangute:Drishti lifesaver Leslie Rodrigues today nabbed a thief at Calangute who snatched a handbag from a lady in broad daylight and was trying to escape with it. Calangute beach witnessed two thefts today, where tourists were the victims. PANJIM: Observing that the State government has failed to act against illegal sand mining, the Bombay High Court at Goa has issued notice to the State officials including the Chief Secretary IAS Parimal Rai for contempt of its order.
