BAMBOLIM: Goa Medical College (GMC) Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar today said that 100 COVID-19 positive cases were recorded during marriage functions across Goa. The MGP today extended its support to double-tracking of South Western Railway line claiming that the development will help Goa in many big ways. Addressing a press conference, MGP supremo Sudin Dhavalikar said that the party is against coal handling and coal pollution but not against double tracking of railway line. He said that double tracking will help in transportation of wheat, cement and other products at a minimum expense. The State government has announced that the ZP polling day December 12 will be a paid holiday.
