PANAJI: Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Goa BJP’s election in-charge Devendra Fadnavis will be in Goa on September 20.
The party’s central leadership had recently announced his appointment as Goa election in-charge. He was appointed for the post, considering the culture, arts, sports, social and geographical continuity of Maharashtra and Goa, and the language similarity, the party sources said.
Experts say that Mr Fadnavis appointment will be beneficial for the BJP for the forthcoming Assembly elections.
Chief Minister, BJP State President Sadanand Shet – Tanawade,
have welcomed the decision.
Fadnavis is coming to Goa for the first time after being appointed as the in-charge of Goa.
He will interact with the Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs, and party office bearers during the visit.
He will also take stock of the party’s preparations for the elections and upcoming events and programs.
Fadnavis, who has the image of a game-changer, had done an excellent job in the Assembly elections in Bihar and other states.
