PANAJI: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa Unit has warned of possible heavy to very heavy rainfall across the State did to low pressure area formed in Bay on Bengal.
“The Low-pressure area formed on 11th September over Bay of Bengal intensified further during past 48 hrs. As of 13th September, It is in the form of Deep Depression over north coastal Odisha,” the IMD said
It further said that Imit is very likely to continue to move west northwestwards across north Odisha, north Chhattisgarh&Madhya Pradesh in 48hrs. It is very likely to weaken into a Depression during next 24 hours.
“With the presence of this system, the possibility of Very Heavy & Heavy rainfall at one or two places over North & South Goa districts continues for 2 more days.
“Warnings for fishermen are there for Maharashtra-Gujarat Coasts,” said IMD
