PANAJI: Material Recycling Association of India (MRAI) is all set to convene a two-day business summit in Goa on September 19-20. Over 500 MRAI members, comprising key stakeholders of the recycling industry including manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and traders from across India will be joining the summit.
The discussions at the summit will focus on strengthening cooperation and business engagements between India and other countries, Material Recycling Authority to ensure the Standardisation for the Secondary Non-Ferrous Metal Recycling Industry in line with ISRI. There will be exclusive session on ELV, Circular Economy, E-Waste Recycling and Plastic Recycling Industry to bring all stakeholders under one roof, the summit will enable businesses to showcase good practices, address the challenging issues, technology, innovations and services in the recycling sector.
The objective of the summit is to discuss in details about the recycling industry is facing challenges which has had a negative impact of the sector despite recycling industry minimising environmental threats and promoting sustainability.
MRAI supports Government of India to foster the Circular Economy and achieving the Sustainable Developmental Goals, MRAI’s activities are centred around promotion and propagation of Responsible Recycling. This by default encompasses the essence of key government initiatives such as Make in India, the Swachh Bharat Mission and Skill India Mission, among others.
