VERNA: Verna police on Sunday arrested 24-year-old Shivpratap Halwai, resident of Vasco, for possessing 63 grams of Ganja worth 6,300 rupees.
Police said the accused Halwai was nabbed at the parking area outside Bits Pilani Campus, Sancoale, based upon specific and reliable information in a narcotics raid conducted by PSI Sanket Talker.
The Ganja was found in the toolbox of TVS Jupiter bearing no GA06Y4083.
An offence has been registered at Verna police station, and the accused Halwai is arrested under section
20(b) (ii)(B) of the NDPS Act.
