PANAJI: Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had given directions to act against the illegalities on the beach belt.
“CM Sawant has given directions to act against the illegality on the beach belt, and he has also personally taken stock of the situation and has also personally taken stock of the situation,” said Khaunte.
He further said that a strong message should be sent out to the illegal touts, hawkers and other illegal operators that the government will not tolerate such nuisances.
“Goa needs to survive with the proper model, and we need to change the perception among tourists visiting our State,” he added.
Khaunte said that the post-Covid scenario has been a changer for the department and that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has been driving maximum opportunities to tone up the tourism services and to lay new infrastructure on how to get good tourists in the state.
