DABOLIM: The South Goa District Coordination Committee, chaired by the District Collector, held a meeting to discuss the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana and plans to develop selected areas as Solar Villages to promote clean and renewable energy.
During the meeting, it was decided to implement the scheme in Chicalim Panchayat under the Dabolim constituency as part of the Solar Village initiative.
Accordingly, the committee resolved to develop Dabolim as a Solar Village, with a focus on encouraging the adoption of solar energy and promoting sustainable and renewable power solutions in the area.
The initiative aims to increase the use of rooftop solar systems, reduce dependence on conventional sources of electricity, and support the government’s broader objective of expanding clean energy infrastructure through the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.
