MARGAO: “The Government of Goa should create suitable employment opportunities for Goan students who excel at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), offering positions and remuneration commensurate with their qualifications, thereby retaining talent in Goa and inspiring future generations”, stated Madganvcho Awaaz & Youth Leader Prabhav Naik.
Prabhav Naik congratulated Vaibhavi Ramakant Gaonkar from Sanguem on successfully completing her education in Computer Science at IIT and achieving a remarkable milestone as a Goan tribal girl student. He said her achievement is a matter of pride not only for her family but for Goa as a whole.
In this regard, Prabhav Naik has written to Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant, appealing to the Government to facilitate a suitable employment opportunity for Vaibhavi Gaonkar within Goa, in a field aligned with her qualification, skills and expertise. He stressed that the position and remuneration should be commensurate with her IIT qualification and capabilities.
“Providing an opportunity for such talented young Goans to work and contribute within the State will send a strong message that Goa values, encourages and retains its brightest talent,” Prabhav Naik said.
He added that such an initiative could inspire Gen Z and Gen Alpha, particularly students from tribal and other underrepresented communities, to pursue higher education, professional courses and careers in science and technology with greater confidence and ambition.
Prabhav Naik urged the Government of Goa to explore every permissible avenue to provide exceptional young Goans like Vaibhavi with opportunities to contribute their knowledge and skills to the development of the State, while creating a broader culture of valuing, retaining and encouraging Goa’s brightest talent.
