The newly constituted Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has announced the appointment of Smt. Meghana Shetgaonkar as its Director. This significant appointment comes into effect marking a crucial step towards advancing the rights and inclusivity of individuals with disabilities in the state.
The Nèw Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities begins independently from 1st April’2024 and reflects the government’s commitment to creating a more inclusive and accessible society.
Smt. Meghana Shetgaonkar is entrusted with leading this department and
driving initiatives that will empower and uplift persons with disabilities across Goa. The department will focus on implementing policies and programs that address the diverse needs of the disabled community, promoting accessibility, and
fostering a more inclusive environment.
