PANAJI: The Goa Bench of Bombay High Court has asked the Goa tourism department and the Captain of Ports to dispose of show cause notices issued to Water Sports operators at Baina Beach for not following the queue system, ‘as expeditiously as possible’.
The court has set a deadlineof 15 days from today.
The Goa Tourism Department informed the Court that they had issued three notices to violators and were in process to issue notices to 17 more while the CoP issued notices to seven violators.
Court was hearing the petition by Baina Water Sports Association about the non-implementation of the queue system and several other grievances related to Water Sports at Baina Beach.
The association had contended in their petition that authorities including the Director of Tourism and the Police Inspector of the Coastal Police Station were not addressing their grievances promptly.
