PANAJI: During a birthday celebration, a five-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool in a residential complex close to Panaji, according to police today. They stated that the incident happened on Wednesday.
“To celebrate their family friend’s birthday, Daksh Mauskar, a boy from Valpoi village in North Goa, traveled to Old Goa village with his parents. The boy went to the swimming pool and fell into it unnoticed by anyone while the celebration was going on at the residential complex’s club house, according to a senior police official from Old Goa.
“Daksh’s parents initially assumed he must be playing with other kids when he was nowhere to be found.
“Daksh’s parents initially assumed he must be playing with other kids when he was nowhere to be found. But he was eventually discovered in the swimming pool. Once removed, it was discovered that he was unconscious,” he continued.
After being taken to a private hospital nearby, the child was later transferred to the Goa Medical College in Bambolim, where it was determined that he had passed away.
