ASSAGAO: A 27-year-old man from Assam was found dead at a rented premises in Vale, Assagao, Bardez, on Monday, September 28, police said.
According to Anjuna Police, the station received a PCR call at around 2.07 pm informing that a person had allegedly committed suicide near Dattaray Temple, Assagao. PSI Saish Kinlekar, along with police staff, proceeded to the spot for verification.
The deceased was identified as Sanjoy Boruah, son of Chandan Boruah, a native of Assam. He was reportedly residing at a rented premises belonging to Satish Pawar at Vale, Assagao.
Police said Boruah was found hanging inside the rented room. Anjuna Police registered UD No. 55/2026 under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
Further details are awaited. The investigation is being conducted by PSI Saish Kinlekar.
