COLVA: Colva Police have registered a complaint against Pritam Vaid, a resident of Colva and native of Mumbai, Maharashtra, following allegations that he restrained a woman and her family members from entering their residential house and later assaulted and threatened her.
According to the complaint, the incident allegedly took place on September 27 between 12 noon and 4.30 pm at Colva. The complainant alleged that Vaid locked the gate of her residential house while she was away with her family members.
The complainant further alleged that when she returned and attempted to enter the house, the accused assaulted her, caught hold of her hair and touched her without her consent in an inappropriate manner. She also alleged that he subsequently abused her using filthy language and threatened her with dire consequences.
Police have taken up the matter for further investigation. The investigation is being conducted by LPSI Varshda Naik Dessai of Colva Police Station.
